WAPAKONETA — Kenton threw everything it had at Wapakoneta during the first half Friday night. And while it resulted in a three-touchdown lead by the mid-point of the second quarter, it was not enough as the host Redskins were able to right their ship and overpower the youthful Wildcats in the second half for a 49-35 Western Buckeye League victory.

DOLA — Perry took command early with a 22-point first quarter on the way to a 41-6 Northwest Central Conference football win over Hardin Northern on Friday night. Hardin Northern drops to 1-3 overall, 0-1 in the NWCC. Perry gets its first win of the year and improves to 1-3 and 1-0.

RIDGEWAY — The Ridgemont Golden Gophers fell to Lehman Catholic 62-8 in a Northwest Central Conference football contest on Friday night. Ridgemont drops to 0-4 overall, 0-1 in the NWCC. Lehman Catholic improves to 3-1 and 1-0.

Falcons take care of Vanlue 41-0

VANLUE — The Riverdale offense scored all six times it had the ball Friday night, defeating Vanlue, 41-0, in a Blanchard Valley Conference football game. Aiden Loveridge carried the ball for a 73-yard touchdown on the first offensive play for the Falcons to set the tone.

Jonathan Alder rallies past Raiders

PLAIN CITY — Benjamin Logan was unable to sustain its 24-7 second-quarter lead over Jonathan Alder on Friday night, falling to the Pioneers 43-36 in the Central Buckeye Conference football contest. The Raiders fall to 2-2 overall, 0-1 in the CBC, while Jonathan Alder improves to 3-1, 1-0.

Bulldogs hang on to beat Jefferson, 35-33

DELPHOS — With a 35-7 halftime lead over Jefferson on the road Friday night, it looked like Ada was ready to breeze through the second half on its way to a comfortable football win. But the Bulldogs went scoreless in the latter two quarters while surrendering four-straight second-half touchdowns to the Wildcats.

Collier leads way for Lady Falcons

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Juleigha Collier crossed the finish line fifth of 77 runners to lead the host Lady Falcons to fourth place in the eight-team Riverdale Invitational on Thursday afternoon. Collier finished in a time of 22:22.25, which was just a second behind fourth place finisher Emma Steingass of Sylvania Northview.
