Collier leads way for Lady Falcons

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Juleigha Collier crossed the finish line fifth of 77 runners to lead the host Lady Falcons to fourth place in the eight-team Riverdale Invitational on Thursday afternoon. Collier finished in a time of 22:22.25, which was just a second behind fourth place finisher Emma Steingass of Sylvania Northview.

DOLA — Hardin Northern wasted little time taking control against Ridgemont on Thursday as the Polar Bears cruised to a 25-13, 25-14, 25-16 victory over the Gophers in Northwest Central conference volleyball action. Hardin Northern improves to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in NWCC play, while Ridgemont is now 3-4 and 1-2.

Lady ‘Cats downed by St. Marys

ST. MARYS — St. Marys defeated Kenton 4-0 in a Western Buckeye League girls soccer match on Thursday. The Lady Wildcats see their record drop to 3-2-2 overall and 0-2-1 in WBL play. St. Marys is 3-2-1 and 3-1. No other information was received about the game. Kenton hosts Van Wert on Tuesday.

KHS harriers finish in middle of pack at Elida

ELIDA — The Kenton boys cross country team placed fifth out of 10 teams and the girls were fourth out of five teams at the Elida Invitational on Wednesday. Cymon Crowe placed 11th of the 96 total runners with a time of 18:53 to lead the Wildcats, while Joseph Piper also made it into the top 20 at 19th with a time of 19:27.
