Kenoyer, Ricketts lead BL to third place finish

BELLEFONTAINE — Will Kenoyer and Ethan Ricketts both carded 83s to lead Ben Logan to a third place finish in the Mad River Division during the Central Buckeye Conference golf tournament on Thursday at Cherokee Hills. The Raiders, who had a team score of 365, also received a 97 from Garrett Allen and 102s from Bryce Loomis and Carter Stewart. Gavin Clay added a 112.

Underdog Raiders undaunted about facing Bellefontaine

Ben Logan football coach Jeff Fay cherishes opportunities like the one his team has Friday night when it hosts Bellefontaine. That’s because when his 2-2 Raiders take on Central Buckeye Conference’s Kenton Trail Division favorite Bellefontaine, he feels very few people give his team much of a chance of keeping the score close, let alone of beating their Logan County rivals for a second straight season.

USV’s Hipsher 2nd at NWCC golf

WAYNESFIELD — Led by Brady Hipsher’s 74, the Upper Scioto Valley boys golf team shot a 358 to place third at the Northwest Central Conference tournament on Wednesday at Prairie View Golf Club in Waynesfield. Lehman Catholic won the tournament with a 338 and also finished in the top spot in the final season standings, with USV in second.

Falcons’ Kuenzli earns All-BVC golf honors

OTTAWA — With a score of 417, the Riverdale boys golf team placed eighth out of nine teams in the Blanchard Valley Conference tournament on Wednesday at Country Acres Golf Club in Ottawa. Van Buren won the competition with a 304, while Liberty-Benton came in second at 349 and Hopewell-Loudon had a 351 to place third.
