BLUFFTON — Ada was third in a Northwest Conference golf tri-match with Paulding and Crestview on Tuesday afternoon at Bluffton Golf Course. Brevin Sizemore carded a 58 to lead the Bulldogs. Austin Amburgey was next with a 61, followed by Ethan Hall with a 63 and Rob Allison with a 64.

BELLEFONTAINE — Bellefontaine defeated Ben Logan 44-14 in an eighth grade football game on Tuesday. Alec Rodenberger had two TD catches from Kameron Allen to lead the Raiders. Trevor Berry had a two-point conversion catch.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale gave Kenton everything it had on the soccer field on Saturday night. In the end, however, the Wildcats were able to find the back of the net twice, as Landon Bartlett and Drew Hoppe tallied second half goals on the way to a 2-0 victory.

ADA — Ada defeated Hardin Northern and lost to Arlington in a volleyball tri-match on Saturday. The Bulldogs defeated Hardin Northern 25-19, 25-20.

Led by Rocco Longbrake’s 37, Kenton won the Bill McClain Hardin County Invitational golf tournament on Saturday. The Wildcats shot a team score of 164 to better second place Upper Scioto Valley by 20 strokes.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Katie Benitez tallied the lone goal for Riverdale as the Falcons and Bluffton played to a 1-1 tie in a non-league girls soccer game on Saturday. Haley Beltz had an assist for the Falcons, who are now 3-1-1 on the season.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Upper Sandusky defeated Ada 2-1 in a girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association contest on Saturday afternoon. Trailing 2-0 in the second half, Haley Callahan scored on a free kick from 35 yards away to get the Bulldogs within a goal.

Match play began at the Memorial Park Golf Course recently. Results for the first round are as follows: Men’s Champion Flight – Brad Hanna beat Greg McClain 2-1, Brian McCune beat Rob Davis 7-6, Jed Dorsey won over Rob Longbrake 4-2 and Nick Zachariah beat Darrel Reese 2 up.

CELINA — The Kenton football team got off to a terrible start on Friday, turning the ball over to Celina on its first two offensive possessions and spotting the Bulldogs an early two-touchdown lead.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Despite three first-half fumbles and four in the game, Riverdale kept its balanced offensive attack going and cruised to a 43-8 non-conference football win over Hardin Northern on Friday night. The victory improves the Falcons to 2-0, a record they held last season before going 2-6 in their last eight games.
