Perry starts off fast in win over Polar Bears

DOLA — Perry got to Hardin Northern’s pitching early, taking advantage of Polar Bear errors to score nine runs in the first inning on the way to a 21-0 Northwest Central Conference baseball win on Monday afternoon. The Commodores, who added a run in the second before plating four more in the third, three in the fourth and four in the fifth, held the Polar Bears to just four hits in the contest.

Kenton tennis topples Chiefs 4-1

BELLEFONTAINE — Kenton defeated Bellefontaine 4-1 in a non-league boys tennis match on Monday afternoon. The Wildcats collected wins in the top two singles positions as Kyle Goodin topped Hunter Karg 6-0, 6-1 and Kenji Kobayashi was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Lindsay Stevenson.

Wildcats win HC junior high track meet

ADA — Both the Kenton boys and girls track teams won seven events on the way to first place finishes at the Hardin County Junior High Track Meet on Monday afternoon at War Memorial Park. The Kenton boys finished with 150 points to runner-up Hardin Northern’s 138 points. Ada was third with 81.

BLJH track teams first at conference meet

TECUMSEH — The Ben Logan boys and girls junior high track teams claimed first at the Central Buckeye Conference meet on Monday. The Benjamin Logan junior high girls track team outscored second place Shawnee 132-84. It was the first ever CBC junior high track meet championship for the girls team.
