GLANDORF — Brenden Whitaker scored the game-winning goal with 14 minutes left in the game as the Kenton boys soccer team rallied for a 2-1 victory over Ottawa-Glandorf in Western Buckeye League play Tuesday night.

FORT JENNINGS — Derek Luersman scored the game’s only goal unassisted 29 minutes into the first half as Fort Jennings defeated Riverdale 1-0 in a non-league boys soccer game Tuesday.

HARROD — The Ada volleyball team rallied from deficits in game two and three to sweep Allen East 26-24, 26-24, 25-20 in Northwest Conference volleyball action Tuesday night.

SPRINGFIELD — The Ben Logan golf team was unable to get out of of sectional play, shooting a 409 and finishing 13th on Tuesday at Reid Park.

ADA — Sitting unbeaten in the Northwest Conference and having aspirations for a second consecutive league title, the Ada volleyball team could be forgiven if it was looking forward to tonight’s league match against Allen East when it took the court against Kenton on Monday night.

Ottawa-Glandorf scored two goals in less than 30 seconds early in the second half Monday to break open a scoreless game on its way to a 4-0 victory over Kenton in Western Buckeye League girls soccer.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Carrol Pauley had seven kills to lead Riverdale in the Falcons’ 25-20, 25-11, 25-19 loss to Arlington on Monday.

VAN WERT — The Kenton boys were 15th of 20 teams, while the Lady Wildcats were 11th of 20 teams at the Van Wert Invitational on Saturday.

With the score tied 15-15 in the first game and emotions appearing to be high on both sides, Saturday’s volleyball match between Kenton and Hardin Northern looked as if it had the makings to be a long, hard-fought battle between the county rivals.

LaRUE — The Ben Logan varsity volleyball team won all three of its matches to win the 2016 Elgin Volleyball Classic on Saturday.
