DOLA — Hardin Northern started and finished in dominant fashion with a little hiccup in the middle Thursday night to pick up a volleyball sweep over Lima Temple Christian.

LIMA — Kenton did something it hadn’t done in 12 years Thursday night, defeat Shawnee in boys soccer. The Wildcats scored a pair of second-half goals to win the Western Buckeye League clash 2-0.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan volleyball team cruised past Bellefontaine 25-11, 25-6 and 25-10 during a volley for a cure match on Thursday. The Raiders improve to 13-0 overall and 7-0 in league play.

SPRINGFIELD — Ben Logan improved 28 strokes from the preseason tournament but it wasn't enough to move up in the standings as the Raider golf team finished sixth overall and fourth in the Mad River Division during the Central Buckeye Conference tournament on Thursday.

LIMA — The Kenton golf team finished eighth at the Western Buckeye League golf tournament on Thursday.

VAN WERT — Ada placed ninth as a team Thursday at the Northwest Conference golf tournament with a score of 514. Lincolnview, which was led by medalist Joshah Rager’s 77, won the team title with a 338.

DELPHOS — Melina Woods had 25 kills and seven blocks to lead Ada to a 25-12, 25-14, 25-15 sweep of Delphos Jefferson in a Northwest Conference match Thursday.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton defeated Riverdale 2-0 in a non-conference boys soccer match on Thursday. Eli Bourassa and Josh Begg scored unassisted goals for the Pirates, who outshot Riverdale 10-1.

ST. PARIS — Ben Logan overcame a halftime deficit with a dominant stretch to open the second half and defeat Graham 4-2 in Central Buckeye Conference boys soccer Wednesday night. Graham led 1-0 at halftime.

After what has been a difficult first four weeks, both Kenton and Van Wert are looking to gain momentum for the second half of the season when the Western Buckeye League foes square off in a homecoming matchup at Robinson Field on Friday night.
