ADA — Melina Woods had a dominant performance at the net, recording 23 kills and five blocks as Ada cruised past Crestview 25-18, 25-17, 25-8 in a Northwest Conference volleyball matchup Thursday.

The Kenton girls tennis team picked up victories in two of its three singles matches, but were unable to claim a doubles match in a 3-2 setback to Western Buckeye League foe Elida on Thursday.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale made one critical mistake Wednesday night in a girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association contest with Liberty-Benton and the Eagles capitalized to grab a 1-0 victory.

Kenton defeated Ben Logan 178-186 in a non-league dual golf match Wednesday night at Memorial Park Golf Course. Rocco Longbrake carded a 42 to lead the Wildcats, while Peyton Roby added a 42, Cruz Bryant a 45 and Cole Dearing a 47. Taj Chahal had a 56.

The Kenton football team is looking to rebound from a disappointing outing last week against defending Western Buckeye League champion Wapakoneta when it travels to St. Marys on Friday night.

The Riverdale football team will be looking to get off to its best start since the 2010 season when it hosts Vanlue on Friday night. The Falcons won their first two contests over Waynesfield-Goshen and Plymouth before suffering a 31-19 setback a week ago to Blanchard Valley Conference foe North Baltimore.

BELLEFONTAINE — Kenton won two of three singles matches and split in doubles competition as the Wildcats defeated Bellefontaine 3-2 in a non-league tennis match Wednesday afternoon.
