The Kenton girls basketball team has had a tendency to get off to slow starts at times this season. Tuesday night when Bluffton came to the KHS gymnasium was no exception as the Pirates built a quick 11-point lead.

Prior to his senior season last summer, Kenton High School offensive lineman Larry Wells verbally committed to play football at the University of Kentucky.

The Kenton girls swimming team continued its winning ways Tuesday night in its final home meet of the season. The Wildcats defeated Upper Sandusky 100-70. Kenton also honored the one senior on its team, Morgan Bloom, during the meet.

LIMA — The Kenton High School wrestling team defeated Shawnee 45-21 on Tuesday to finish the Western Buckeye League regular season with a winning record.
