WILMINGTON — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team dropped an 86-81 decision at Wilmington on Wednesday evening. The Polar Bear offense was led by junior Konnor Baker with a team-high 20 points.

Ben Logan defeated Urbana 41-13 in eighth-grade girls basketball Monday. Savannah Pavoni scored a game-high 28 points.

Kenton swept Urbana in a pair of middle school girls basketball games. The Wildcats won the seventh-grade game 47-10. Jenna Manns scored 15 points to lead Kenton.

BLUFFTON — The Kenton Youth Wrestling team had five champions Sunday at a MVKWA mini-meet.

The Kenton boys basketball team trailed Liberty-Benton by eight points three minutes into Saturday night’s non-league contest. And while the Wildcats were able to get back within two points several times in the contest they were never able to gain an advantage as the visiting Eagles pulled away in the final minute for a 60-51 victory.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley went on a big run early in the fourth quarter to take control and defeat Ada 63-46 in nonconference boys basketball Saturday. Ada’s Owen Conley made a lay-in to tie the score at 37 on the first possession of the fourth quarter.

MOUNT VICTORY — With time running out Saturday, Ridgemont seemed to be in trouble. The Gophers trailed North Baltimore by three in the waning seconds, but Cole Weyant drilled a 3-pointer with four seconds left to tie the game.

FORT RECOVERY — Fort Recovery dominated the second quarter Saturday and went on to defeat Upper Scioto Valley 60-48 in nonconference girls basketball. Callie Daniels scored six of her nine points in the first quarter as USV (10-2) built a 17-13 after the opening quarter.

LEWISTOWN — Ben Logan dominated the second quarter Saturday against Indian Lake to take control in a 50-34 girls basketball victory that left the Raiders unbeaten in Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division play.

SIDNEY — Ben Logan placed third out of four teams Sunday in a quad swim meet at Sidney. Freshman Macy Arn led the way for the Raiders, winning the 50-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke.
