MOUNT BLANCHARD — It was a chilly night at D. Ray Baum Field, but it was hard to tell from the way Riverdale played. The Falcons played a four-quarter team game, posting a dominant 34-13 win against Arcadia on Friday night.

BELLEFONTAINE — Indian Lake took a large half-time lead and then held on to defeat Ben Logan 48-32 to win the Central Buckeye Conference’s Mad River Division on Friday night. The Lakers, 7-2 overall finish Mad River play at 5-0, a game ahead of the Raiders, who ended at 6-4 and 4-1.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale is headed to the third girls soccer district final in school history and the Falcons face a familiar opponent in the game – Liberty-Benton. Riverdale squares off against the Eagles on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Findlay’s Elmer Graham Memorial Stadium.

McGUFFEY — After a full season of golfing for the Upper Scioto Valley Rams, freshman Brady Hipsher changed gears and has quickly taken to cross country, earning a spot in the Division III regional tournament. This Saturday in Tiffin, Hipsher will go up against some of the best runners the state has to offer at the D-III level in hopes of advancing to the state meet.

FINDLAY — Riverdale seemed to be in control for most of the first half Wednesday night against Ashland Crestview in a Division III girls soccer district semifinal, but the Falcons couldn’t score. Riverdale got a late first-half goal and then dominated the second half to grab a 3-0 victory.

It is a football program that is used to winning, but the Kenton Wildcats haven’t been able to celebrate many victories this season. The Wildcats will try to end the 2015 campaign on a positive note as they travel to Celina for their season finale on Friday night.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — There were more hard tackles than hard shots and the rain made completing passes difficult at times, but in the end that didn’t matter to the Riverdale boys soccer team. The Falcons scored the lone goal of the game Saturday night to defeat Liberty-Benton 1-0 in a Division III sectional final.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Gabi Rodriguez and Aubreah Manns each scored two goals as Riverdale won easily, 5-1, against Mansfield Christian in a Division III sectional final soccer match Saturday.

ST. HENRY — The state’s top-ranked volleyball team in Division III, St. Henry, had no trouble in a sectional final match, defeating Riverdale, 25-6, 25-6, 25-10, on Saturday.

OTTAWA — Upper Scioto Valley’s Brady Hipsher was the only local runner to advance to the cross country regional meet. Hipsher placed 14th in the Division III Section 2 on Saturday in 18:08.5.
