RAWSON — It was the tale of two halves for the Cory-Rawson Hornets offense on Friday night. After barely being able to scratch a first down in the first half, the Hornets attack, led by quarterback Mason Warnimont, hit its stride late in the game, striking for four touchdowns in the final quarter on their way to a 42-25 win over the Riverdale Falcons.

BELLEFONTAINE — If there was any doubt about the outcome of the Ben Logan-Greenon football game after the Raiders scored 30 points in the first quarter, the Raiders erased that in the second 12 minutes. They added 43 more points on the way to a 79-0 win over the visiting Knights.

SIDNEY — Ridgemont lost 62-0 to Lehman Catholic on Friday night in Northwest Central Conference football. The Gophers (3-6) turned the ball over six times.

PANDORA — Facing elimination in Game 4 of a Division IV sectional final volleyball match, Hardin Northern came back to force a fifth game against the host Pandora-Gilboa Rockets. A late rally in Game 5 would not be enough to salvage the Polar Bears’ season as they fell 3-2. Pandora-Gilboa took the match 25-18, 18-25, 25-22, 25-27, 15-12.

CELINA — For most of Thursday’s Division II boys soccer postseason contest, Kenton seemed to be getting the better of Celina. ADA — A tournament that started with a lot of hope and promise after winning its first Northwest Conference championship since 1994 came to a quiet end for Ada on Thursday night. After dropping a close first game, the host Bulldogs were unable to regroup as Lima Central Catholic swept them 25-22, 25-17, 25-11 in a Division IV sectional championship match.

NEW CARLISLE — Ben Logan was swept Thursday night in a Division II volleyball sectional semifinal by top-seeded Kenton Ridge. Kenton Ridge won 25-20, 25-18, 25-11. Ben Logan (14-1) was led by Coreen Crosby, who knocked down 14 kills and came up with 13 digs. Addie Rodenberger (16) and Allie Wilson (11) also had double-digit digs.

SPRINGFIELD — Kenton Ridge defeated Ben Logan 4-0 on Thursday night in postseason girls soccer. The Cougars scored on a free kick in the first half to take the lead. Kenton Ridge added a second goal early in the second half and scored two goals late for the final margin.

OTTAWA — Kenton’s volleyball season came to a close Thursday night when the Wildcats were swept by top-seeded Ottawa-Glandorf in a Division II sectional final.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale seemed to be in trouble Wednesday night against Bluffton in a Division III volleyball postseason opener. The Falcons dropped two straight games and were trailing 8-5 in the decisive fifth game.
