Entering week nine, Kenton football coach Brent Fackler and his staff are still waiting for the Wildcats to put together a complete game. The Wildcats have just two weeks left this season to show just what type of team they can be if they put four solid quarters together.

MOUNT VICTORY — Ridgemont couldn’t have gotten off to a much worse start Tuesday during its Division IV volleyball postseason opener against Arcadia. The Redskins scored the first seven points and 16 of the first 20. Ridgemont tried to fight back, but could never find a foothold in the match as Arcadia won 25-12, 25-9, 25-15.

Kenton plays best match of year in postseason victory

Attack

Hosting a Division II sectional semifinal volleyball match on their home court Tuesday night, the Kenton Wildcats swept Toledo Scott 25-9, 25-11, 25-10 to move on in the tournament. The Wildcats will travel to Ottawa-Glandorf to take on the Titans in the tournament at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

MANSFIELD — Mansfield Christian defeated Ada 7-0 on Tuesday night to eliminate the Bulldogs from the Division III postseason in girls soccer action.

T’birds defeat Rams

LIMA — Upper Scioto Valley was eliminated from postseason play Tuesday night by Lima Central Catholic in three games. The Thunderbirds were led by seven aces from Gabby O’Dowd. Individual statistics for the Rams were not available.

Eagles eliminate Bulldogs

FINDLAY — Liberty-Benton scored 3:14 into the game and had four goals in the first 20 minutes on its way to an 8-0 victory over Ada on Tuesday in the first round of the Division III boys soccer postseason.
