Kenton High School graduate Jackie Stalder recently completed her junior basketball season at Indiana University at South Bend, earning several accolades for her efforts on and off the court.

The Kenton tennis team pulled off its biggest victory of the season, upsetting previously unbeaten Shawnee 3-2 in a Western Buckeye League match on Thursday. The Wildcats, who improve to 2-3 in league play, received wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles as well as at first doubles.

DOLA — The Hardin Northern boys were first and the girls were second in a track triangular with Arlington and Vanlue on Thursday.

NEW RIEGEL — New Riegel jumped out to a big lead and cruised to a 9-2 nonconference softball victory over Riverdale on Thursday.

ARCADIA — Arcadia rallied to top Hardin Northern 2-1 in a softball pitchers’ duel Thursday. Arcadia scored single runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

CELINA — Kenton tied Celina in the top of the seventh inning of its Western Buckeye League contest on Thursday. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they could not keep the Bulldogs from plating the winning run in the bottom half of the frame as Celina pulled out a 4-3 victory.
