Charity game slated for Benjamin Logan

BELLEFONTAINE — Benjamin Logan will be hosting a fundraiser basketball game on Saturday with the Driven Foundation where 12 former Ohio State football players will be playing basketball and signing autographs for all fans in attendance.

Kenton tennis edges Bryan

BRYAN — Kenton tennis won one of three singles matches and both doubles matches to advance in the OTCA tournament. The only singles winner for the Wildcats was Dale Oates, who was a 6-1, 6-2 victor over Josh Stark in the No. 1 match.

Falcons blast three homers in win

McCOMB — Riverdale blasted McComb early and often on its way to a 13-0 five-inning Blanchard Valley Conference softball win on Wednesday. The Falcons (9-3, 5-0 BVC) hit three home runs and had 15 total hits.

Van Wert outscored Kenton 9-5 in a Western Buckeye League baseball game on Tuesday night. The Wildcats, who fall to 7-5 on the season and 0-4 in WBL play, led 2-0 after one inning, but could not match the Cougars (9-4, 3-2) the rest of the way.

Polar Bears pull away from Gophers

RIDGEWAY — Hardin Northern scored the final 10 runs Tuesday to pull away for a 16-4 Northwest Central Conference softball victory over Ridgemont. The Polar Bears (9-2, 6-0 NWCC) pounded 20 hits off Ridgemont pitcher Sara McFadden, including three home runs.

RIDGEWAY — Ridgemont scored 19 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to put away Hardin Northern in a 30-1 Northwest Central Conference baseball contest. The Gophers were aided by eight Polar Bear errors, which led to 15 of their 30 runs being unearned.

Collins lifts BL to victory

ST. PARIS — Zane Collins was sharp on the mound for Ben Logan on Tuesday, hurling a two-hitter while striking out 15 batters, as the Raiders defeated Graham 2-1 in a Central Buckeye Conference baseball game.

Errors cost Raiders in 7-2 loss

ST. PARIS — Nine errors proved costly for the Ben Logan softball team on Tuesday afternoon as the Raiders fell to Graham 7-5 in Central Buckeye Conference action. The Raiders, who led 2-0 after one inning, gave up all seven runs over the final three innings.
