ADA — The Ada girls tennis team defeated Ottawa-Glandorf 4-1 in a non-league tennis match on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs won two of the three singles matches as Mackenzie Wills topped Tiffany Kahle 6-3, 6-3 and Meredith Marshall was a 6-0, 6-1 victor over Kristin Ellerbrock.

LIMA — Ben Logan’s Grant Ricketts shot a 69 to earn medalist honors, but Lima Central Catholic defeated the Raiders 321-353 in an 18-hole dual golf match at Hawthorne Hills Country Club on Saturday afternoon.

LIMA — Lima Temple Christian defeated Ridgemont 176-214 in a golf match at Hidden Creek Golf Course on Friday. Devin Mouser fired a 43 to lead the Gophers. Alex Ramsey added a 55, Zach Jenkins a 56 and Alexis Elliott a 60. Ridgemont plays today in the Waynesfield Tiger Invitational.

Two years ago at the girls tennis district meet, Kenton’s Claire Oates lost a match to Lilly Boice of Ottawa Hills. Last year, Oates was working on getting a measure of revenge.

ADA — Micah Roberson figured he was probably done with football. He was getting ready to graduate from Ada High School and didn’t have his choice of college narrowed down, let alone a place to play football at the next level.

CELINA — Kenton’s Britton Hensel earned medalist honors Friday at the Celina Boys Golf Invitational. Hensel shot 74 — including 34 on the back-9 — which gave him the lowest score by four strokes.

BELLEFONTAINE — Britton Hensel fired a 72 and Anthony McKee added a 74 as the Kenton High School golf team finished second of nine team at the Ryan Reynolds Invitational at Liberty Hills Golf Course on Thursday. Hensel’s score tied him for second overall with Ben Logan’s Grant Ricketts.

Sidney Lehman Catholic defeated Ridgemont 173-198 in a golf match at Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton on Thursday afternoon.

MARION — Marion Harding defeated Ada 3-2 in a girls tennis match on Thursday. Winning matches for the Bulldogs were Mackenzie Wills at No. 1 singles and the team of Olivia Gonder and Meredith Morgan at No. 2 doubles.

TOLEDO — The Ada girls tennis team swept Toledo Rogers and Toledo Waite 5-0 and 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon to improve to 5-1 on the season. Winning singles matches against Rogers were Mackenzie Wills, Shelby Higgins and Meredith Morgan.
