The Kenton football team traveled to Marysville on Tuesday morning for its first scrimmage of the season. The Wildcats took on the host Monarchs, Marion Harding and Newark during the scrimmage.

ADA — Ada won a pair of home girls tennis matches Tuesday to improve its season record to 3-1. The Bulldogs beat Fostoria 5-0 in the morning and topped Elida 4-1 in the afternoon.

UPPER SANDUSKY — The Kenton High School golf team defeated Upper Sandusky 176-185 in a dual match on Tuesday afternoon. Luke Nichols led the way with a 41 for the Wildcats, who also received a 43 from Britton Hensel and a 44 from Anthony McKee.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan golf team placed fifth at the Russ Hogue Invitational at Cherokee Hills Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon. The Raiders, who shot a team score of 354, were paced by Grant Ricketts’ 76.

HARROD — Devin Mouser fired a 79 to lead the Ridgemont golf team at the Allen East Invitational at Colonial Hills on Tuesday afternoon. The Gophers, who shot a team score of 411, received a 104 from Alex Ramsey, a 110 from Zach Jenkins and a 118 from Alexis Elliot.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Upper Sandusky edged Kenton 3-2 in the Lady Wildcats tennis season opener on Monday afternoon. Winning matches for the Wildcats were Claire Oates at No. 1 singles and the top doubles tandem of Calynn Morris and Kristen Osborn.

BELLEFONTAINE — Grant Ricketts earned medalist honors for Ben Logan as the host Raiders finished third in their own golf invitational at Cherokee Hills Golf Course on Monday afternoon.

Upper Scioto Valley defeated Ridgemont 201-208 in high school boys golf play at Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton on Monday. Devin Mouser shot a 36 for the Gophers to earn medalist honors. His teammate Zach Jenkins added a 54.

LIMA — The Ada girls tennis team had a rough day on Monday, falling to Shawnee 5-0. Meredith Marshall came closest to picking up a victory for the Bulldogs, falling to the Indians Whitney Baxter 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 at No. 2 singles.

The Trophy Bassmasters made their annual trip to the Detroit River for the 10th stop of the 2015 tournament season. Ten anglers made the trip north with favorable results.
