DOLA — For the first 16 minutes on Saturday night during its boys basketball game against Riverdale, Hardin Northern looked as if it was entertaining thoughts of pulling off an upset of the Falcons.

McGUFFEY — St. Marys was sharp from long range on Saturday night, draining 10 3-pointers on the way to a 66-49 victory over Upper Scioto Valley.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan outscored Bellefontaine in each of the first three quarters to pull away for a 52-36 victory in a Central Buckeye Conference cross-divisional girls basketball matchup on Saturday night.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — A slow start was too much for Riverdale to overcome as the Falcons dropped a 74-51 decision to unbeaten Liberty-Benton in a Blanchard Valley Conference girls basketball contest on Saturday.

Upper Scioto Valley was the only area team to receive a top-two seed as the girls high school sectional tournament pairings were announced on Sunday.

ADA — A slow start proved to be too much for Ada to overcome on Saturday night as the Bulldogs fell to McComb 52-45 in a non-conference boys basketball matchup.
