MOUNT BLANCHARD — Getting two outs was not a problem for the Riverdale baseball team on Thursday afternoon. Finding a way to get the third out proved to be difficult however as Kenton scored a combined 12 unearned runs with two outs in the third and sixth innings on the way to a 13-2 six-inning victory over the Falcons.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — With the score tied at one Thursday evening, Riverdale senior Julia Naus stepped to the plate to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning. She drilled a hit that lifted the Falcons to a 3-1 non-conference softball victory over Kenton.

RIDGEWAY — Nashley Robinson and Priscilla Howland both had two hits and two RBIs and Sydney Totten homered as Ridgemont defeated Perry 8-5 in a Northwest Central Conference softball game on Thursday afternoon.

BLUFFTON — Ada lost its Northwest Conference softball opener Thursday, falling 2-0 to Bluffton.

SPRINGFIELD — Zane Collins had four hits including a double and a triple with an RBI and Brady Bechtel added a two-run double as Ben Logan pulled away for a 6-2 victory over Kenton Ridge in a Central Buckeye Conference baseball game on Thursday.

ST. MARYS — Zach Beaschler was the only winner for Ada as the Bulldogs fell to St. Marys 4-1 in a non-league boys tennis match on Thursday afternoon.

BLUFFTON — Brett Rumer pitched a one-hitter as Bluffton smashed Ada 10-0 in a Northwest Conference baseball contest on Thursday.

VANLUE — Vanlue jumped on top of Upper Scioto Valley early, scoring all its runs in the first three innings, and then held off the Rams late for a 10-5 victory in non-league baseball action on Thursday.

RIDGEWAY — Perry scored six runs in the first inning and cruised from there on the way to a 17-0 victory over Ridgemont in a Northwest Central Conference baseball game on Thursday afternoon.

SPRINGFIELD — Kenton Ridge scored runs in every inning but one on the way to a 13-3 victory over Ben Logan in a Central Buckeye Conference softball matchup on Thursday.
