Riverdale boys, girls sweep quad meet

FINDLAY — The Riverdale boys and girls track teams both won a quad meet hosted by Liberty-Benton on Tuesday. The Falcon girls scored 128.5 points, 65 more than runner-up Leipsic. The Riverdale boys scored 102 points, 46 more than second place Liberty-Benton.

Bulldogs blast Ottoville, 9-1

ADA — Teyah Sautter had a home run and four RBIs and Sydney Newman added a pair of doubles and two RBIs to lead Ada to a 9-1 win over Ottoville in a non-league softball game on Tuesday afternoon.

Riverside defeats Hardin Northern

DeGRAFF — Riverside scored six runs in the first inning and built on its lead from there in blasting Hardin Northern 20-0 in a run-shortened Northwest Central Conference baseball game on Tuesday.

USV boys, HN girls win meet

DOLA — The Upper Scioto Valley boys and the Hardin Northern girls finished first in a quadrangular track meet that included Marion Harding and Lima Temple Christian on Tuesday afternoon.

Kenton places 3rd at track meet

CALEDONIA — The Kenton High School track teams were third in a tri-meet with River Valley and Buckeye Valley on Tuesday afternoon. Buckeye Valley won the girls meet with 66 points, followed by River Valley with 60 and Kenton with 48.

Defense costs Falcons in loss

SYCAMORE — Riverdale’s defense let it down Tuesday night as the Falcons suffered their first softball loss of the season. Riverdale (6-1) committed seven errors in a six-inning 11-0 loss to Mohawk.
