Bluffton steamrolls Bulldogs, 70-50

Over the defense

ADA — Despite a seven-touchdown night by quarterback Brandon Hull, the Ada Bulldogs came out on the losing end of a 70-50 offensive shootout with Northwest Conference foe Bluffton in Friday night’s football contest. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 1-3 overall, 0-1 in the NWC. Bluffton improves to 3-1, 1-0 in the conference.

BL comes up short in comeback bid against Bellefontaine, 28-22

BELLEFONTAINE — After tying Friday night’s non-divisional Central Buckeye Conference football game at 14 in the third quarter, Benjamin Logan gave up two quick touchdowns to Bellefontaine in the fourth to go down 28-14. With just over seven minutes left, the Raiders punched the ball in but were unable to close the gap any further, falling to the Chieftains 28-22.

Late goal lifts KHS soccer to tie with St. Marys

Bryce Ellis headed the ball into the net with less than four minutes left in the game to lift Kenton to a 2-2 tie with St. Marys in a Western Buckeye League boys soccer contest on Thursday. The game-tying goal came when Ellis, who was stationed in front of the left post, was able to get his head on a corner kick by Reed Cook that sailed his direction.

HN spikers victorious

LIMA — Hardin Northern swept Lima Temple Christian 25-20, 25-19, 25-8 in a non-league volleyball matchup on Thursday night. Megan Miller led the way for the Polar Bears with 5 kills, 4 digs and 2 aces. Gabbi Hackworth added 1 kill, 4 digs and an ace and Kennedy Hall had 15 assists, 3 digs and an ace.

Bulldogs get past DJ

ADA — Ada won its first Northwest Conference volleyball match of the season, defeating Delphos Jefferson in four games 18-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-19 on Thursday night. Megan Light had a big game offensively and defensively for the Bulldogs, recording 22 kills, 3 blocks and digging out 17 balls. Miranda Wills added 15 kills and 21 digs, while Kendal Guagenti had 33 digs and 4 aces.

Bulldogs win 7th straight

ADA —Five different Ada players netted goals as the Bulldogs cruised to a 5-0 North Central Ohio Soccer Association victory over Cory-Rawson on Thursday afternoon. Scoring goals for Ada were Jacob Poling, Kyler Stoll, Ian Dellifield, Skyler Williams and Isaac Spar.
