MOUNT BLANCHARD — Jackson Clark had two goals and as assist and Coby Miller had a goal and two assists to lead Riverdale to a 5-0 North Central Ohio Soccer Association victory over Liberty-Benton on Thursday night. The Falcons, who improve to 5-0-3 on the season, led 3-0 at halftime on goals by Miller in the 17th minute, Clark in the 18th minute and Drew Frey in the 27th minute.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan got past Kenton Ridge 28-26, 26-24, 25-23 in a Central Buckeye Conference cross-divisional volleyball match on Thursday. The Raiders improve to 9-3 overall. Bailey Shope led the Ben Logan attack with a career-high 12 kills and 2 blocks. Molly Vance added 9 kills and 10 digs defensively.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan boys golf team took first place in the CBC post season tournament Thursday, beating regular season and previously unbeaten Graham by a single shot at Liberty Hills. The Raiders shot a team score of 347, while Graham had a 348. Urbana was third at 375.

LIMA — Kenton ended the golf season with a ninth place finish in the Western Buckeye League tournament shooting a team score of 400 at Tamarac Golf Course. Ethan Wirbel led the Wildcats with a 92, followed by Trey Jeffries with a 95 Lucas Hites with a 101 and Noah Ketcham with a 112.

WAYNESFIELD — Upper Scioto Valley was fourth of six teams and Ridgemont was sixth at the Northwest Central Conference golf tournament at Prairie View Golf Club on Thursday. The Rams, who fired a team score of 385, were paced by Tyler Gratz with a 92. Quinn Sanders added a 93, followed by Jared Hunt with a 95 and Drew Stephens with a 105.

OSTRANDER — Freshman Sydney Wesson earned Central Buckeye Conference player of the year honors to lead the Ben Logan girls golf team to first place at the CBC tournament on Wednesday at the Ridge Golf and Gardens. It is the second year in a row the Raiders have won the tournament.

This week is homecoming week at Kenton High School. And every year, Kenton football coach Brent Fackler tells his team they have one job for homecoming – to win the Friday night game at Robinson Field.

Hardin Northern and Upper Scioto Valley will both be looking to start their Northwest Central Conference action with a victory when the Hardin County rivals meet at USV on Friday night. Kickoff for all area games is at 7 p.m.

River Valley defeated Kenton 4-1 in a non-league girls tennis matchup on Wednesday. The lone winner for the Wildcats was Grace Collins at No. 3 singles. Collins defeated River Valley’s Kajul Desai 6-1, 6-3.

FINDLAY — Liberty-Benton was outshot 12-8 by Riverdale on Wednesday night. Unfortunately for the Falcons, the host Eagles put five shots of those shots in the goals, while Riverdale was unable to net any in a 5-0 loss in girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association action.
