Roose has big day at the plate in BL victory

LONDON — Olivia Roose had three hits including a two-run home run, a triple and 4 RBIs to lead the Ben Logan softball team past London 9-4 in a CBC cross-divisional game on Tuesday. The Raiders, who led 2-1 after one inning, extended their advantage to 5-1 with three runs in the third inning.

Bulldogs compete in tri-meet at Bluffton

BLUFFTON — The Ada boys and girls track teams had a number of first place efforts in a tri-meet with Bluffton and Fort Jennings on Tuesday. Finishing first for the Ada girls were Brenna Hissong in the 400 dash (1:06.10), Anabel Alexander in the 1,600 run (7:10.8), Olivia Green in the 100 hurdles (19.7 seconds) and Nora Dellifield in the pole vault (10-0).

Miscues cost Falcons

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Eight errors proved costly for Riverdale as the Lady Falcons fell to Van Buren 13-1 in a Blanchard Valley Conference softball game on Monday afternoon. Van Buren scored four runs in the first inning and added seven in the second on the way to the five-inning win.

KHS boys tennis tops Bath in WBL match

LIMA — The Kenton High School boys won two of the three singles matches and swept both doubles matches on the way to a 4-1 win over Bath in a Western Buckeye League tennis match on Monday afternoon. Winning in singles play for Kenton were Taj Chahal and Hayden Robinson.

Raiders pick up CBC win

ST. PARIS — Ben Logan took an early lead with five runs in the second inning and then held off Graham the rest of the way for an 11-6 Central Buckeye League baseball victory on Monday afternoon. The Raiders, who added two runs in the second inning and four in the seventh, got a triple, double and three RBIs from Blake Peterson and a pair of doubles and two RBIs from Trace Tevis.
