KMS report: September 26, 2019

The Kenton Middle School volleyball teams split a pair of matches with Shawnee on Tuesday. Kenton won the seventh grade match 25-15, 25-17, while Shawnee took the eighth grade match 25-1, 25-16. Individual statistics were not received.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Benjamin Logan Varsity Volleyball Team improved to 11-4 after a four-set – 25-23, 25-16, 23-25, 25-19 – win over Riverside in their annual "Fight 4 Family" match. Molly Vance had a big night for the Raiders, recording 14 kills and 20 points serving with 5 aces. Ryelle Gibson tallied 7 kills.

ONU retires Schnelle’s No. 9 volleyball jersey

ADA — The Ohio Northern volleyball team retired the No. 9 jersey of former standout and three-time All-American middle hitter Liz Schnelle in a ceremony on Saturday afternoon. Ten years removed from the court, she remains ONU's all-time career kills leader with 2,222 and hitting percentage leader at .367 from 2006-09.

BL soccer ties London

LONDON — Dylan Welch scored on a penalty kick with 10 minutes left in the game to lift Ben Logan to a 1-1 tie with London in a Central Buckeye Conference soccer matchup on Monday afternoon. Ben Logan is now 4-4-3 and 3-2-1 in the CBC and in second place in the Mad River Division, one point behind Graham and one point ahead of Northwestern.

KHS girls blast Van Wert

Sidney Plott had four goals abd an assist to lead Kenton to an 8-0 victory over Western Buckeye League Van Wert in soccer action on Monday afternoon. Hananh Holland, Addison Modd, Keelee Barrett and Brylee Hayter added goals for the Wildcats.

Rams golfers top Lima Sr.

Upper Scioto Valley defeated Lima Senior 197-248 in a non-league golf match on Monday afternoon. Jared Hunt led the way for the Raiders with a 42. Quinn Sanders added a 47, Blake Gratz a 50 and Drew Stephens a 58. Also for USV, Even Lyle carded a 63.

KMS report: September 24, 2019

The Kenton Middle School eighth grade volleyball team defeated Van Wert 25-13, 25-10 on Monday night. Brynn Bulter served up 10 aces and had a kill to lead the Wildcats. Reese Levering had 2 aces and 2 kills, Mya Good had 2 aces and Chloe Pleasant had an ace and two assists.
