The Bluffton Sardines defeated the Kenton Area Swim Team in a North Central Ohio Aquatic Summer Swim League matchup on Thursday night at the Kenton pool. Bluffton won the boys meet 357-230 and the girls meet 392-230.

Four Kenton softball players were on the winning East team during the Western Buckeye League All-Star game on Thursday night.

The Trophy Bassmasters got its 2019 fishing season started recently on the club’s home waters of Indian Lake. The club will compete in 14 club tournaments this year as well as regional, state and divisional events.

BLUFFTON —The Bluffton University volleyball team will host several skills camps this summer. A kindergarten through fifth grade camp will be held from 10 a.m.–noon on Wednesday, June 26. This camp will introduce basic volleyball skills while incorporating fun volleyball activities. Registration is $25 per camper.

DOLA — The 6th annual Hardin Northern Polar Bear Legacy Golf Outing will be played at Kenton’s Memorial Park Golf Course on Saturday, July 6. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. with shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. and lunch to follow.

The first Never Give Up Football Camp for individuals with disabilities will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 26 at Robinson Field in Kenton. The goal of the camp is to provide individuals with disabilities a chance to learn the game of football under the Friday night lights.

The Major League Braves defeated the Pirates 11-1 under the lights Monday night. Bam Bam Wilkinson led the Braves by going 3-3 with a home run, a triple and a single and also retired the last three batters of the game on the mound. Also hitting for the Braves were Tayvion Glispie with three singles and Jack Whitmer and Carson Bash, who both had a double and a triple.
