The Trophy Bassmasters held their seventh club tournament of the season recently on Knox Lake near Fredericktown. The normally productive lake was a little down but a few good catches were still recorded.

BLUFFTON — The Bluffton Sardines swept a dual meet with Kenton in Western Ohio Aquatic Swim League action on Tuesday.

The fourth annual Drive Out Cancer golf outing will be held at Veterans Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton on Aug. 4. Registration for the four-person team scramble to benefit Relay for Life is at 8:30 a.m. with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

TIFFIN — The 14th annual Robert Bo Reid Memorial Baseball Tournament will be held July 28-29 at Hedges Boyer Park in Tiffin. Proceeds will benefit the Tiffin City Parks and Heidelberg University ‘H’ Club.

The Second Farm White Sox finished the season undefeated securing first place by going 3-0 in the tournament. They started 5-0 in the season-opening tournament and then went 15-0 during the regular season before winning the end of the year tournament.

The Senior League weekly winner at Memorial Park Golf Course was Dave Jesse. Carter Cavalier finished second and Dick Battles and Duane Davis tied for third.

A mom and son from Kenton will get to represent Ohio in upcoming American Poolplayers Association (APA) pool tournaments. Jaret Dyer, a Kenton High School sophomore, qualified to compete at the APA Juniors National 9 Ball Tournament. He will play in St. Louis on July 4-8.

Riverdale White defeated the Dunkirk Bears 6-3 on Wednesday at Gormley Park in Forest to be crowned the Hancock County Junior Pony League 2018 B Tournament champions. Riverdale’s record on the season was 8-8-1.

The Kenton Area Swim Team Stingrays hosted the Ada Alligators on Monday, with Ada taking the top combined score of 597 and the Stingrays earning a score of 569. The Kenton girls edged Ada 348-256, and the Ada boys topped Kenton 341-221.
