Little league results: May 29, 2018

The second farm Indians defeated the Dodgers 6-1 in Kenton Little League play on Monday afternoon. Hitters for the Indians were Jayce Bordner with 2 doubles, and Ronon Orich, Domanic Sloan, Landon Hunsaker, Solomon Petty, Emma Kaylor and Emily Patton with singles.

Dunkirk, Dola, HN golf outing set for June 16

The annual Dola, Dunkirk, Hardin Northern community golf outing will be on Saturday, June 16 at Memorial Park Golf Course, Kenton. Anyone individual who lives in the Dola or Dunkirk community, the Hardin Northern school district, or who is a graduate of Dola, Dunkirk or Hardin Northern schools is invited to participate.

Raiders’ Manns wins regional high jump

Up and over

PIQUA — Ben Logan’s Madison Manns can add the words regional champion to the list of accomplishments she has compiled in just two years as a high jumper for the Raider track team. The junior cleared 5-2 on Thursday afternoon to win the Division II regional meet in Piqua and earn a spot in the state track meet for the second consecutive year. The top four finishers in each event advanced to next week’s state track and field meet in Columbus.

Ada hires new AD, girls hoops coach

ADA — The Ada Bulldogs athletic programs have a new leader at the helm in Travis Temple, and Morgan Bass will be looking to breathe life into the girls basketball team as its new head coach. Both Temple and Bass were hired to their respective positions at the regular monthly Ada Board of Education meeting on Thursday.
