Improvising A Cure benefit concert set Posted on April 9, 2026 0 The Benjamin Logan Instrumental Music Department will host its annual benefit concert, Improvising A Cure, on Thursday, April 23 at 6 p.m. in the Benjamin Logan High School Commons. The event will raise funds for the Logan County Cancer Society. Now in its 13th year, Improvising A Cure has become a meaningful tradition within the Benjamin Logan community, bringing together students, families, and local supporters for an evening of music and philanthropy. The concert will feature performances by both the middle school and high school jazz ensembles and combos. In addition to live jazz performances, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including a silent auction featuring student artwork, a bake sale, a 50/50 drawing, and a BBQ-themed dinner. Dinner offerings will include pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, cheesy potatoes, coleslaw, and more. There is no cost to attend the event; however, donations are encouraged. Proceeds from donations at the door, as well as the silent auction, bake sale, 50/50 drawing, and t-shirt sales, will benefit the Logan County Cancer Society. Donations from the dinner will support the Benjamin Logan Jazz Program. Members of the jazz ensembles will also be selling official Improvising A Cure T-shirts during the event. The public is invited to attend and enjoy an evening of music, food, and community connection in a relaxed, informal setting.
