Leipsic returns opening kick in 40-0 win Posted on September 27, 2025 0 LEIPSIC — Undefeated Leipsic returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and ran away with a 40-0 victory against Riverdale on Friday night in Blanchard Valley Conference football play at Leipsic. Trevor Stuber went 94 yards to give the Vikings (6-0, 4-0 BVC) the lead right away. Marquise Williams caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Marc Kirkendall and then scored on a 13-yard run before the end of the first quarter, making it 20-0. Williams then broke off a 43-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, and Kirkendall threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Hazelton with 37 seconds left in the half, making it 33-0. Mason Rader threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Briggs Cunningham early in the fourth quarter for the game’s final score. Kirkendall went 17-of-29 passing for 213 yards and a touchdown and was intercepted once. Avery Paris made eight catches for 125 yards, and Williams finished with 63 yards on just five rushing attempts. Riverdale (0-6, 0-4 BVC) got almost no offense going, finishing with 57 yards total. The Falcons punted eight times, while the Vikings did not punt at all. The Falcons play at 7 p.m. next Friday at Ada.
