Riverdale’s Woodruff, USV’s Parker win Hardin County Invite

DOLA — Riverdale’s Allison Woodruff and Upper Scioto Valley’s Joe Parker both medaled again at Tuesday’s Hardin County Invite, which was the first cross country meet ever held at Hardin Northern.

Woodruff clocked in at 19:55.10 to take first on the girls side. Kenton won the meet and had the next 10 placers, but Woodruff stole the show.

For Kenton, Addi Manns earned second at 20:16.90. Leah Harder was third at 21:07.40. Delaney Buxton was fourth at 21:26.70. Quinlyn Spearman took fifth at 22:42.50. Kendyl Gibson was sixth at 25:03.10. Musser Mia clocked in at 26:03.50, good for seventh. Bethany Cameron was eighth with a time of 26:16.90. Hardin Northern’s Mariann Woodruff finished in 29:11.60. 

On the boys side, Parker blazed the trail in a time of 17:36.50 to lead USV to the win. Kenton was second, Hardin Northern third and Riverdale last. HN’s Zeb Wilson was not far behind Parker, coming in at 17:55.80. Kenton’s Ethan Rall was third with a time of 18:05.10. 

Kenton’s Adam Hopkins finished in 19:47.80. USV’s Braiden Zapp and Noah McCoy were seventh and eighth with times of 19:53.80 and 20:25.10. HN’s Carl Woodruff crossed the finish line in an even 22 minutes.

USV’s Quinn Dyer has shaved off more than two minutes from the beginning of the year as he ran a 22:31.10. 

Andrew Woodruff paced the Falcons boys by taking fourth place in 19:09.7. Ethan Warren (20:45.9) and Ethan Spitnale (20:54.10) were 10th and 11th, respectively. Jack Dusseau came in 21st in 23:56.5, and Alex Eaton was 28th in 32:22.0.

Riverdale’s Marissa Bonham won the junior high girls race in 12:40.40, with Analese Woodruff second in 12:52.20. The Falcons’ Gabe Donaldson was the boys runner-up in 12:58.90.

The Falcons compete in the Van Buren Invitational at 8 a.m. Saturday at Owens Community College.
