Fall soccer sign-ups occurring at YMCA Posted on June 3, 2016 0 The Hardin County Family YMCA announces that sign-ups for players in this fall’s Black Swamp Soccer League are currently being taken at the YMCA, 918 W. Franklin St., Kenton. Deadline for registration for fall soccer is June 25. Any late registration taken past June 25 will incur a $20 late fee in addition to the normal soccer fee and be placed on a wait list to see if the late registrant can be placed on a team. Black Swamp Soccer is a travel soccer league for age classifications U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-15. Teams play a series of home and away games within the league. U-classification will be determined by a child’s age as of Jan. 1 of their birth year. This is a change that is being made nationally by U.S. youth soccer. Age was formerly determined as of Aug. 1 of the child’s birth year. Registration for U-8 through U-15 classifications is $45 for Y members and $60 for non-members. Registration costs will include a shirt for the child. Registration also will be taken for U-6 soccer players (children born between Jan. 1, 2010 and Dec. 31, 2011). U-6 is an in-house program (all games played in Kenton). Cost for that program is $25 for Y members and $35 for non-members.
