Lima Symphony Orchestra to present ‘Carnival of Colors’

LIMA — Crafton Beck will lead the Lima Symphony Orchestra in a glittering “Carnival of Colors” on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center, Lima. The orchestra will perform the wildly tragic and popular work Petrouchka by Igor Stravinksy as well as Richard Wagner’s mystical “Entrance of the Gods” from Das Rheingold.

Lima Symphony plans annual holiday concert

LIMA — The Lima Symphony Orchestra will present its annual holiday concert “Bells, Brass & Bows” on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center. This nostalgic celebration of the season will feature the Lima Symphony Chorus, under the direction of Mark Suderman, performing classical favorites including John Rutter’s “Gloria” and selections from Handel’s “Messiah.”
