DOLA — Students in Jessica Cano’s Art 3 class at Hardin Northern School recently took part in a project designed to bring smiles to children’s faces around the world. “The Memory Project,” developed by a national non-profit organization, asks art students to create portraits of children who are facing extreme challenges in their lives, as a way to promote kindness and to help these children feel valued.

Boots and Buckles 4-H club met on April 15, where Issac Anderson led the club in the pledge of allegiance and Cain Sullivan led the 4-H pledge. Donations of toiletries and non perishable items were given to Safe Haven.

I recall a sermon many years ago, that I've forgot the title, but the message I took away was, "We need to challenge a thirsty world.” What the speaker shared versus what I heard might of been different but I think that's common.

The Hardin County Republican Women met on Wednesday, April 17 at the Republican Headquarters in downtown Kenton. President Becky Stevenson called the meeting to order and led the 11 members present in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Kenton Lions Club met Wednesday, April 17 at the Kenton Elks Lodge 157 at 7 p.m. There were 15 members along with a guest present. Lion President Todd Oates thanked everyone for a great turnout and show we were able to have for the Lions Roar this year.

The Memorial Park Bridge Club met on Wednesday, April 17 at the Pro Shop Annex. The hostess was Kathleen Telljohann and there were three tables in play.
