Wagon train program for Genealogical Society

"Traveling in a Wagon Train" is the program for the Hardin County Genealogical Society when it meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at 211 W. Franklin St., Kenton. Jim and Annetta Holmes, members of the Black Powder - Fort McArthur organization, a small division of the Black Swamp, will be presenting the pre-1840 era. Jim joined in 1978 and Annetta in 1980.

Ada Senior Citizens to celebrate Thanksgiving with lunch in Lima

The Ada Senior Citizens will celebrate Thanksgiving with lunch at the Golden Corral, west of the Lima Mall, on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. when the senior citizens’ buffet special begins. Reservations are not needed. If you want to be a part of the carpool, arrive at the Community Health Professionals parking lot at noon. The group will leave promptly at 12:15 p.m.
