Kenton Full Gospel Church is planning Christmas caroling at the nursing homes on Dec. 17. Practice for the caroling will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16.

The 20th Veterans Recognition Service at the Alger First United Methodist Church, 101 E. Monteville St., has been planned for 10 a.m. this Sunday. The featured speaker will be Bob Weinberg, president of Flag City Honor Flight and member of the Society of the Honor Guard – Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The Hardin County Homemakers will be holding their annual Christmas program on Dec. 5. It will be held at Kenton First Methodist Church, with the ladies of the church furnishing the lunch. Lunch will be chicken casserole, green bean almondine, cranberry slice, Jell-O, roll and drinks.

The Ada Kiwanis Club held its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday Nov. 7 in the Dean’s Heritage Room of McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University. President Jack Jeffery presided at the meeting.

ADA — The Ada Exempted Village School District is having parent-teacher conferences for students in grades K-12 on Monday, Nov. 20 from 4 to 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Students will attend school only on Nov. 20 that week.

An ARC auction is set for 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3 at the Simon Kenton School gym in Kenton. There will be a huge variety of items, and lunch will be available. Proceeds support families of children with disabilities and programs at Simon Kenton School.

St. John’s Evangelical Church, 211 E. Carrol St., Kenton, will be hosting a Child Evangelism Fellowship Fall Fundraiser spaghetti luncheon and silent auction from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Lunch will be served at noon.

On October 25-27 the Hardin Northern FFA attended the 90th National Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana.

ASHLAND — Four area students are members of the Exercise Science Club at Ashland University. All are majoring in exercise science.
