Armed robberies send Ada man to prison

An Ada man was sent to prison for nine years after he robbed three men in separate incidents at gunpoint and plead guilty to it in court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Dakari Tyreese Powell, 537 E. Lincoln St., Ada, had called another man and asked if the man had "weed." When he arrived at the victim's home, Powell placed a handgun against the man's forehead and made threats while he demanded money. The robbery netted Powell $40 and he went to two other friends and made the same demands, bringing in another $50, a bag of "weed" and an iPhone.

Kenton man placed on community control on drug-related counts

A Kenton man was placed on community control after he was found guilty of drug-related charges in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Caleb C. Critchfield, 426 N. Main St., Kenton, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated possession of drugs and three counts of trafficking in heroin in the vicinity of a school or a juvenile, with one of the charges being an aggravated count. Critchfield also pleaded guilty to one charge of trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances in the vicinity of a school or a juvenile, and in a second case against him, aggravated possession of drugs.
