A Kenton man was sentenced to local incarceration after he was found guilty of charges in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Kenneth Alan Styne, 721 S. Detroit St., Kenton, pleaded guilty to one count of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

The trial of a man accused of attempting to have his wife killed and her home burned down was scheduled to begin today in Hardin County Common Pleas Court, but was continued to later in March during a hearing Tuesday. Gerrick Anthony Sheldon, 3010 CR 130 in Roundhead Township, is facing two charges of complicity in an attempt to commit aggravated murder, a felony of the first degree (F1).

Malgorzata T. Savage, Macomb, Mich. – speeding 57 mph in a 45 mph zone, fined $25.

Hardin County Recorder Brenda Rainsburg released the following property transfers for January:

A 16-year-old male for failure to control, court ordered: carteens, 45-day license suspension school privileges and fined $35.

Arlen A. Davis, Lima – speeding 35 mph in a 20 mph school zone, fined $150. Scott A. Gregory, Huntsville – speeding 49 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25.

Hardin County Treasurer Denise Althauser reminds all property owners that real estate tax payments are due Wednesday, Feb. 14. The last day to pay manufactured home (trailer) tax in Hardin county without a penalty is Wednesday, Feb. 28.

A Kenton man was sentenced to more than 8 years in prison after he was found guilty of theft charges in cases heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Zachary Tyler Ray, 627 E. Franklin St., Kenton, appeared in court on two separate cases.

Hardin County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Barrett has invited both sides in the Dennis Dellifield case to share their definition of “obscene” as it applies to the charges in the case. The former Allen East music teacher is facing charges after he allegedly sought pictures of a 16-year-old former student’s genitals.
