Terrill Webb has joined the Hardin Wellness Center in Kenton as a physical therapist assistant. A 2013 Kenton High School graduate, she competed in four years of varsity soccer and track. Her accomplishments on the track came her junior and senior year where Webb was a state qualifier in the pole vault, 400 meter relay, 800 meter relay, and 1600 meter relay.

The Health Resources & Services Administration has named Health Partners of Western Ohio as a Gold Health Center Quality Leader – in the top 10% of the nation. Health Partners is a federally qualified health center that operates 18 sites in six communities, including Kenton.

One of the most used services at the Mary Lou Johnson-Hardin County District Library in Kenton is the research department. Director Sam Norris said about 75 percent of the time the library is open, there are people using the microfilms and reference books to track down a family member, research the history of a local organization or just read some local history.

Harco Industries will be moving to a new home. The new building is the former Grace Fellowship Church at the corner of S. Main and Espy streets in Kenton, said Andrew Tudor, president of the Harco Industries Board of Trustees.

The Hardin County Fair gets underway next week. While the fair officially runs from Tuesday through Sunday, activities get underway Monday evening with the junior fair swine showmanship competition in the show arena.

The Kenton Times will not publish a newspaper on Monday so our employees can enjoy the Labor Day holiday with their families. Regular publication of the Times will resume on Tuesday, opening day of the Hardin County Fair.

ADA — The Ada Historical Society will hold a cemetery tour committee meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the Ada Public Library, 320 N. Main Street, Ada.

LIMA — Honoring American Veterans (HAV), a national non-profit organization dedicated to ending veterans’ suicide and homelessness, will host “Hollywood in the Heartland,” a star-studded benefit event to support local veterans on Sept. 21 at the Lima Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center.
