Resident Barb Brown celebrated her 93rd birthday with her daughters Jackie Brown and Charlotte Banks. Kenton Nursing and Rehab Center staff were encouraged to stop by Barb’s room to wish her a happy birthday and to enjoy a cupcake, compliments of her daughters.

Residents at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center were treated to a special evening activity on Aug. 21. Connie McNeal, activity director from Willow Brooke Assisted Living, sang and played guitar for the group.

Hardin Hills Health Center residents enjoy watching a weekly TV series together at the Kenton facility.

Hardin County Suicide Prevention/Mental Health Awareness Month is being observed during September. As part of the observance, friends or families who have lost a loved one to suicide in the county have placed signs of remembrance in the southeast corner of the lawn of the courthouse.

After going down 2-0 to Celina with nine minutes left in the first half, the Kenton Lady Wildcats bounced back with a pair of goals in 4 1/2 minutes to tie the soccer match at the half. But a couple of unlucky bounces for the Wildcats led to two goals for Bulldogs in the second half, resulting in a 4-2 loss for the host Wildcats.
