There will be a Fourth of July fireworks display at the Hardin County Fairgrounds this summer but no other activities. The Freedom Celebration Committee, at a meeting Thursday night, approved the motion to just have the annual fireworks show.

Beth A. McKinley joined The Home Savings and Loan Company of Kenton on Jan. 19, 2016, as its Assistant Vice President-Office Manager. McKinley is a 27-year community banking veteran with expertise in data processing/bookkeeping, accounting, customer service, and office management.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton Hospital, part of Blanchard Valley Health System, will be embarking on a $4.5 million expansion of services. This includes the development of a Women’s Center of Bluffton Hospital, which will be located within the walls of the current facility.

The Hardin County Board of Elections will   meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3 in its office in the basement of the Hardin County Courthouse to conduct logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment. The board will not have a regular meeting on Feb. 11.

FOREST — The Jackson Township trustees met on Jan. 5 for the re-organizational meeting. Regular meeting times for 2016 were set for the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.

McGUFFEY — The Upper Scioto Valley Board of Education will hold a work session at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room at USV. The topic of the discussion will be the superintendent search.

TUESDAY, JAN. 26 Kenton-Hardin Health Department Board – 7 p.m., health department

There will be a public hearing on the annual action plan for the Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities on Monday at 6 p.m. The hearing will be at the Simon Kenton School, located at 705 N. Ida St., Kenton.
