A Kenton man has admitted to setting a series of house fires in Kenton in April, 2018. Dustin Cannode, 723 W. Lima St., Kenton, was in Hardin County Common Pleas Court for a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday when he decided to enter guilty pleas to three charges of aggravated arson, each felonies of the second degree, and one count of arson (F4).

A Kenton woman was sent to prison for two years after she attempted to pass a drug test with "clean" urine. Court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office report that Erica Lynn Ellis, 680 W. Lima St., Apt. B, Kenton was on probation from an earlier drug conviction when she arrived for her scheduled visit to her probation officer. Ellis was found to have been trying to switch urine samples to defeat the findings of the test.
