Hardin County Fair tickets go on sale Hardin County Fair season and membership tickets will go on sale all over the county this week. Either ticket sells for $20. These tickets will allow one adult and that person’s school age children accompanied by the person, free admission to the fair each day. Tickets will be punched at the gate and a hand stamp is required for reentry the same day. School age means until high school graduation. Read More
KHCB receives grant for volunteers to paint building on fairgrounds Keep Hardin County Beautiful received two Sherwin Williams Paint Grants to renew a community structure through the application of 40 gallons of paint donated by the company. Deb Phillips, program manager for KHCB, said grants were awarded for the painting of the Merchants Building at the Hardin County Fairgrounds and for Will’s Costume Shop on South Detroit Street in Kenton. Fair board rejects plan to lock secretary’s office during the fair A proposal to keep the secretary’s office door locked after noon on Tuesday of the fair and for it to stay locked for the duration of the fair was voted down at Saturday’s meeting of the Hardin County Agricultural Society. Alaina award gives boost to fair concert ticket sales Ticket sales have picked up for the Lauren Alaina concert set for Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Hardin County Fair. Secretary Judy Cronley reported at the Wednesday, June 14 meeting of the Hardin County Agricultural Society that the sales climbed after Alaina received a CMT award for Breakthrough Video of the Year. New arena Tony Green puts the finishing touches on some down spouting at the new small animal show arena at the Hardin County Fairgrounds.
