The Ada Kiwanis Club held its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 14 in the Dean’s Heritage Room of McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University. President Jack Jeffrey presided at the meeting. Christie Stephens was welcomed as a guest. The invocation was offered by John Berg.

The 1994 AMVETS Riders met on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. with 12 members and one guest present. Meeting was called to order by President Harold Sexton, with Chaplain (Tac) Larry Lee giving the invocation and Sexton presenting the colors.

Lawrence Valley Grange met at Henry's Restaurant on Nov. 14 for a luncheon meeting. Everyone told what they were thankful for this year.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Boot is helping provide peace of mind for parents, students and staff of the Riverdale School District. The Boot is an interior door security device from The Lockdown Company of Fowlerville, Mich.

Kenton High School will stage the musical, “Little Women” this weekend at the Kenton Middle School auditorium. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

A team of four of Kenton High School’s top math students tied for third place in Ohio Northern University’s annual Math Shoot-Out on Nov. 7. The KHS team members are from two of Melody Norris’ pre-calculus classes. Juniors Isaac Mendez, Haley Hunt, Kelsey Flowers and Carter Kauble were the four students chosen to attend the competition.

Hardin Hills Activity Department, all staff, residents and family members worked hard to raise money for breast cancer awareness. They raised $776 and it was given to the Not By Choice Outreach Center in Kenton.

The Hardin County Council on Aging recently had a bus tour for area residents to Lancaster, Pa., Amish Country and historic Philadelphia. They experienced the historic district.
