Kris Langstaff has been called to preach at the Belle Center Church of Christ.

First Baptist Church in Kenton will serve as a drop-off location for the Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child – the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind.

Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist International, SI Hancock County, and SI Lima are planning their annual Celebration of Women dinner. It will be held at the ONU McIntosh Ballroom on March 30, 2017 at 6 p.m.

A Los Angeles publicist will be the keynote speaker for the Nov. 18 banquet luncheon of the Women L.E.A.D. organization, a program of the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance. It is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Inn at Ohio Northern University.

The Walnut Grove Mission Society met Tuesday, Nov. 1 at noon at Oh My Grill in Dunkirk. Cheryl Reese gave the blessing before lunch was enjoyed by all.

The Quilt Squares will meet at the Hardin Northern Community Center on Wednesday, Nov. 12 starting at 1 p.m. Anyone interested in quilts or the art of quilting is invited to join the group for an afternoon of quilting and fellowship.

Latham Chapter 364 Order of the Eastern Star will hold its 104th annual Installation of Officers on Monday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at a special meeting with Scott N. Barrett as installing officer with Jean Beck, past grand matron assisting. Sharon Weaver is Worthy Matron-elect and Scott N. Barrett is Worthy Patron-elect.

Kenton High School Student Council will be conducting its annual food drive Nov. 14-18. The cans or non-perishable food items contributed will be donated to Helping Hands Outreach and the Neighborhood Opportunity Center in time for Thanksgiving.
