Kenton Lock Company items to be showcased during annual Kenton Toys event

New to collection

When guests visit the Kenton Toy Collectors Cast Iron Toy Show at the Sullivan-Johnson Museum in Kenton, they normally are expecting to see any additions to one of the most extensive collections of Kenton Toys in existence. But when the collectors and the curious attend the fifth annual show on Saturday, in addition to newly included trains and toys, they will see some of the cast brass items which were made at the Kenton Lock Company in the late 1800s.

CR 144 crash

An EMT from BKP looks over a FedEx delivery truck that ended up in a small wooded area off County Road 144, just east of Hepburn, on Thursday. According to the report, the unidentified FedEx driver told deputies he was forced off the roadway by a red pickup truck, which continued to flee the scene to the east after the FedEx vehicle crashed into the trees.

Vikings shut out R’dale

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Leipsic took advantage of two Riverdale errors and a passed ball to plate four runs in a 5-0 win over the Falcons in a Blanchard Valley Conference baseball game Wednesday afternoon. The Falcons, who fall to 9-9 overall and 3-5 in the BVC, outhit the Viking 6-4 but were not able to push a run across the plate.
