The Hardin County Board of Elections will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday in its office in the basement of the Hardin County Courthouse to conduct logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment. The regular October meeting will follow.

In a collaboration designed to benefit women and the community, Hardin County hosted its first Women L.E.A.D. program on Wednesday evening at the Kenton Elementary School. About 85 professional women attended the event, the first of its kind in the county, to encourage them to build relationships and leadership skills.

MONDAY, SEPT. 28 Kenton City Council – 7 p.m., chambers

The Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities will conduct a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28 at Simon Kenton School. The board will go into closed session to discuss topics concerning the compensation of board employees.

The Kenton Board of Education will have a special meeting to discuss vehicle purchasing at 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28 in the board office, 222 W. Carrol St., Kenton.

The Plesant Township trustees have shifted the starting time for their meeting on Monday night. Instead of 6:30 p.m., it will begin at 7 p.m. in the conference room in the Kenton Municipal Building.
