Noteworthy Community Choir is auditioning for three choirs in two locations: Ada and Lima, announced Vicki Mills, director. Expressions is an inter-generational choir for singers ages 13-83+, Voices for ages 8 – 18, and Sounds for ages 7 – 11.

ADA – Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts has released the schedule for its 2018-2019 season.

CAREY — The 38th annual Carey Fest is set for this weekend with the theme “Small Town Big Time!” There will be a wide variety of music throughout the event, including country, rock, jazz, folk, bluegrass and gospel.

FINDLAY —Experience American Girl® in an all-new musical for six limited-seating performances at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts in Findlay. Performances of American Girl Live will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13 and Friday Dec. 14; and 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16.

ADA – Ohio Northern University will hold children’s auditions for “The ONU Holiday Spectacular” at 1 p.m. on Sept. 9 in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. Auditions will be held for singers and dancers ages 5 to 12.

MARYSVILLE — It’s not every day a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee performs in Marysville, but that’s exactly what’s about to happen this summer. The 43rd All Ohio Balloon Fest will have legendary rock band ZZ Top headline this year’s fest on Thursday, Aug. 9. The Dan Orr Project will go on at 5 p.m., with ZZ Top playing at 8 p.m. Tickets for the concert are on sale at eventbrite.com.

The streets of Mount Victory will be filled on Monday, Memorial Day, with antique cars, car enthusiasts and shoppers for the 35th annual Mount Victory Antique Car Show and Petroliana Swap Meet.

The 50th anniversary of Kenton High School’s Cabaret will celebrated at this weekend’s performances. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday in the KHS gymnasium.

Hardin Northern's pop a cappella group Awakened Commotion will be in concert Sunday, May 6 at 2 p.m. in the Hardin Northern auditorium. Admission is $2.

MARION — The Marion Palace Theatre’s 90th anniversary season entertainment schedule has been announced. It runs from July 2018 through June 2019 and included in the lineup is a 90th Anniversary Celebration, eight national touring artists on the main stage, six local Palace productions, and four Pavilion performances.
