ONU Wind Orchestra plans Feb. 25 concert

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents the ONU Wind Orchestra on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. The ONU Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Thomas A. Hunt, presents a program of music for winds and percussion, including James Barnes’ Third Symphony, David Maslanka’s “Mother Earth,” and Rolf Rudin’s “Aufbruch.”

Ticket sales underway for Rascal Flatts concert in Lima

LIMA — Online ticket sales began today for the Rascal Flatts with Kelsea Ballerini concert at the 2016 Allen County Fair on Aug. 27. Ticket prices are $65 for the pit directly in front of the stage, $55 for track seating and $45 for grandstand and bleachers. Prices include service charges, but do not include a gate admission ticket to the fair, which is required.

GRAIL to feature bluegrass, gospel music in Marion

MARION — The Palace Cultural Arts Association will present the Bluegrass/Gospel band GRAIL in the Palace Theatre May Pavilion in Marion on Friday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. Comprised of local musicians Micky Bloomfield (bass,vocals), Craig Schertzer (guitar, vocals), Bruce Seckel (guitar, vocals), and Vern Sizemore (banjo, vocals), the band will perform traditional and contemporary bluegrass and gospel along with their version of some nontraditionaltunes from other genres.

BLUFFTON — Tickets are available for the third concert in the 2015-16 Bluffton University Artist Series for pianist Ann-Marie McDermott at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 in Yoder Recital Hall. McDermott has played concertos, recitals and chamber music in hundreds of cities throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
