New McGuffey mayor youngest in the county McGUFFEY — During a council meeting on Monday, McGuffey Mayor Greg Howard announced he would be resigning effective Friday. He was moving out of the village. Chase of teens in stolen car covers four counties Two teenage boys stole a vehicle in Kenton and took police on a wild pursuit through three other counties on Friday morning. According to Lt. Rob Lutes of the Kenton Police Department, officers were advised a vehicle had been stolen and an officer located it. When the officer attempted to pull the car over, it sped away. The chase went into Logan, Champaign and finally Allen County, where spiked strips were placed on the roadway. Read More
Culvert replacement continues on Ohio 67 The Ohio Department of Transportation’s District I office in Lima, in its weekly update, reports Ohio 67, west of Kenton, continues to be closed for a culvert replacement project. Ohio 67 at Township Road 119 closed Monday, June 3 for approximately 75 days for the culvert work. The project also includes the reprofiling of Ohio 67 and Township Road 119 to enhance sight distance at their intersection. Work is being performed by R & I Construction, Tiffin. Read More
