Newcomers gain seats on Alger and Forest councils There were some closely contested races in Hardin County on Tuesday at the polls with the results shuffling council, school board and township trustee seats in unofficial results. There will be new council members in Forest and Alger but incumbents returned to their seats in Ada and McGuffey. Races were uncontested in Dunkirk, Mount Victory and Ridgeway. Read More
Ada residents raise concerns about possible Phase III of ONU solar project ADA — Residents of Christopher Circle in Ada are hoping to preserve an area of trees to the west of the cul-de-sac from being taken down in the future. Several residents were on hand at Tuesday’s council meeting to express their concern about possibly losing a “buffer zone” tree area to the west of the subdivision due to their perception of encroaching solar panels on property owned by Ohio Northern University.
